It is a big pleasure for me to welcome you to the SG-TEP 2012 International Conference on Smart Grid Technology, Economics and Policies in Nuremberg.
This year, the conference will be held for the first time. The scope of the conference is to provide an opportunity for academic researchers, industry and legal practitioners, and policy makers to network and discuss latest developments in Smart Grid and sustainable energy research. The conference focuses on the intersection of Smart Grid engineering, business opportunities, legal and policy issues. I warmly thank the different committees and teams for their efforts in making this event reality.
